Rule of law vs. morality

Dear Editor, I believe it was in one of my religion classes in high school that I learned there are two kinds of law. There are laws that are morality based such as laws against murder and stealing. Then there are laws which are passed to regulate people’s activities which are not morality based.

A discouraging word on roaming bison

Dear Editor, Natalie Crane’s letter was interesting to say the least.  I assume she is referring to the bison refuge in eastern Montana.  She talks about visitor spending or tourism as a godsend to the state; my question in ten years is where is she going to get cream and sugar for her latte or […]

Hypocrisy of the Wolf

Dear Editor, I am not at all surprised at the hypocrisy of Mr. Wolf. Officials claim that bison can transmit brucellosis – a disease that can cause cattle to abort fetuses – although there has never been any documented evidence of a […]

Gianforte should stay where he is

Dear Editor,  The recent announcement by Greg Gianforte that he is seriously considering another run for Governor is problematic. He barely won against a gun grabbing liberal entirely out of touch with Montana values. Now Greg wants to run for Governor?
