Dear Editor,
I want to “THANK YOU” Edward Hoem for your LTE. You noticed the ‘personal attacks. PLEASE remind me when I did one. I do not recall any. I had the BELOW, in draft, to submit this week. We appear to be close in age (84 April), as I enlisted January 1960 and was a Sergeant in mid-60’s on second enlistment. I ONLY replied to LTES with rank included and other having rank included, I believe. Rank excluded from here out, if I submit any!!
LTE from draft:
I am going to miss submitting Letter to Editor for YCN. However, when I am being personally ‘chastised and falsely accused’ for submitting something another disagrees with, it is time to bow out of the conversation. I hate no-one!!!! I despise some of what one’s actions are. Like I said in my last LTE, “Being honest with one’s self, precludes negative.” I will continue my subscription and read them and keep my opinion of other’s, I DON’T KNOW unsaid, even those I DO know!! “Belittling”, of any kind, is beneath my dignity!!
FINAL COMMENT: The CWO wounded in Venezuela was participating in (LTE QUOTE) “an operation against a known enemy that has killed thousands of Americans with the drugs slipped into our country.” Another known enemy, that supplied the most cocaine ever, into our country was “Pardoned”.[FACT] Hard to differentiate, ‘huh?’ in my mind. I feel the CWO should not have been there to begin with!!
Respectfully Submitted,
