Can pets drink the contaminated water?
Dear Editor, Today, 8/27, I emailed The Animal Hospital in Billings and put this question to them; “Good morning: With the high level of nitrates in the water here in Worden I wonder if it is good for Buddy to be drinking the water. Do you have any comments you can share with me?”
Why would you leave us Krayton?
Say it isn’t so…..Jonathan! We can not let the weekly ramblings of Dr. Krayton Kerns fade into the sunset. A friend of mine loaned me Krayton’s first book of his “Ramblings”. When I saw his name tag at a gathering at the Depot, I had to introduce myself and thank him for sharing his wit, […]
Applaud the current Shepherd board for their efforts
I have lived in Shepherd my whole life and have seen Shepherd Schools from many angles. I was a student; graduated in 1971; a parent of two boys that graduated from Shepherd Schools; a board member for 8 years; an employee involved in transportation since 1992; and a taxpayer.
Come back Krayton
Dear Editor; I am deeply sorry to read that Krayton Kerns will no longer be writing articles for YCN. His stories and perspective were the a light in a sea of psycho babble.
I support Roy
As a Ward 2 resident, taxpayer, and voter, I am casting my vote for Roy Neese for City Council, Ward 2. Roy’s credentials as a dedicated public servant have been well-documented over the past several months. Roy was appointed by the City of Billings Mayor with the unanimous support of the City Council last November […]
Adios cow doctor amigo!
Many years ago, Winston Churchill stated that Islam in a man is akin to rabies in a dog. I am truly sorry that the conservative cow doctor will no longer be a weekly columnist in this paper.
Heads up on DigIt Days scheduling dilemma
Dear Editor, You do realize that your “DigIt Days” is the same day as the 4-H FFA Junior livestock sale at Montana fair. A lot of the rural youth who have a good work ethic and equipment experience and their families will not be able to attend.
Krayton, it’s time you know the meaning of “trophy wife”
Dear Editor, Wikipedia: A young attractive wife who is regarded as a status symbol for the husband. The term is most often used in a derogatory or disparaging way.
Climate warming is simple science, not politics
Dear Editor, I am replying to a letter from Dave Scott attempting to refute Carl Wolfe’s assertion that climate warming in the recent past is due to increased amounts of C02 due to human activity. I grew up on the Project and am a retired meteorologist. Mr. Scott makes some false statements and conclusions to […]
Fact check the columnist Carl Wolf
Dear Editor, I say again the Yellowstone County News needs a Fact Checker. You certainly don’t want to go down the same path as the Billings Rag – aka Gazette. Poor Carl…where does he come up with all his misinformation? Is it intentional or just ignorance?
