Enjoying the YCN and see you at DigIt Days!
Dear Editor, We truly enjoy your publication. The Letters to the Editor portion grabs my attention first. (And thank you for putting a word limit on those good letters.) People out there have some really sound thoughts and ideas.
European values turning us into Venezuela
Dear Editor, Recently, progressive socialist rhetoric, like those in Europe, have started to send this country into a tailspin causing the greatest division we have ever seen…not conservatives – PROGRESSIVE socialists.
What is the US Climate Alliance?
Dear Editor, What is the US Climate Alliance? It is a domestic group formed specifically to undermine President Trump’s excellent decision to pull out of the Paris Climate Agreement. Now, by executive order, part-time Governor Steve Bullock has undermined all of Montana by aligning Montana with the US Climate Alliance.
Can’t we all just get along?
Dear Editor, I have been faithfully reading your paper for over twenty years of my life and while I do enjoy the local and informative content, I have never enjoyed the constant onslaught of heavily weighted, bigoted, and hateful letters from some of your regular contributors.
We didn’t need no stinkin’ map!
Dear Editor, Finally think I’ve got it:When growing up in a small Montana town, I didn’t need a map. Everyone knew where every place within a forty-mile radius was – also learned it from family, other kids/adults and visits and early-on schooling.
To the Greater Community of the Huntley Project:
In these recent weeks my family and extended family have come to know the truth of what “community” is about. The quiet support and selfless actions of this community towards us as we journeyed through our “valley of the shadow” has humbled us beyond words.
Honor the veteran sacrafices
Dear Editor, About this time of the year, I think of many friends I lost in combat in Vietnam. Richard Campos is one name that I always remember.
Scholar? Back it up…
Dear Editor, In this brave new era of rampant pseudo intellectualism, we must be continually weary of anyone proclaiming to be a scholar, especially a constitutional scholar.
Where’s the shameless self-promotion?
Dear Editor, I missed seeing a couple of the usual good things in the June 21st YCN. One was the fun-to-read, if shamelessly self-promoting, news about the paper itself from Jonathan. The other was the “progressive” opinion column of Jennifer Merecki.
Heartfelt thank you for condolences
Dear Editor, Dearest Community – no words can express the gratitude that we feel for your outpouring of love and support all of you have shown our families in the devastating loss of our grandson, Taylor Larson.
