On Monday, April 7 at 1:52am Shepherd residents Ricky Clemens and Gabriella woke to falling items clamoring on the floor and glass breaking in their home located near Osness Rd. and Shepherd Rd. Clemens, thinking that someone may have entered the home, left his bedroom to investigate only to find nine shots from a firearm had ravaged through the house from the front entry way destroying windows, doors, appliances and the couple’s peace of mind. Realizing the gravity of the situation, Clemens found cover and called 911. Ricky stated in an interview, “We are in a well-lit area. They were very bold to pull in, get out in the driveway and shoot through the house. I don’t know what they are capable of at this point whoever they are.” Ricky and Gabriella have lived in the Shepherd Area for only a year before this incident stating that they have spent that year unpacking and building up a small homestead on their 10-acre property. Ricky stated they live quiet lives and rarely leave their property other than work. “It’s hard, I can’t sleep; I am watching my back everywhere I go, and I have no idea why someone would do this.”
